Why become a ShareCARD Commercial Agent?
In most farming communities, the hardest thing to move isn’t produce — it’s trust. Farmers have been promised a lot and let down often. They don’t always know which inputs are genuine, or who’s really there to help them grow. That gap is exactly where a Commercial Agent makes a living.
As an agent, you become the trusted local face of ShareCARD — distributing quality inputs, sourcing produce fairly, and building the kind of relationship your farmer neighbours can’t get from just anyone. As more of them get verified on the platform through our field agents and coordinators, you’re the dealer already standing next to them with what they need. In some areas, agents also connect directly with organised farmer groups — concentrated volume in one relationship instead of building trust farmer-by-farmer.

To be clear on how this works: as a Commercial Agent, you’re a retail-level business operator — buying and selling within the ShareCARD network, not a ShareCARD employee. You work directly with our input wholesalers, manufacturers, and produce buyers — distributing their goods, sourcing on their behalf, or trading on your own account, depending on the partner and the terms you agree together. You bring better inputs and real market access to your farmer neighbours — and you help them formalize, which is what unlocks the bigger contracts. (Want fixed pay for verifying farmers instead? There’s a small onboarding fee to become an agent — and if that’s a barrier, sponsorship is available through our partners. After that, the app is yours, the training is free, and how much you earn is up to the trade you build and how many farmers you serve.
